Views on Dentistry

"Poor dental health touches all aspects of our lives from children to adults. It is very rewarding to see someone leaving our office being no longer in pain and on the road to good hygiene and function. Having been afraid of dentistry as a young person, it is great to be able to help others get over their fears and see them continue to return for routine dental checkups. Even after almost twenty years, every day is a new challenge and new people to meet. It is amazing the advances in dentistry that have occurred during this time. We stay on the cutting edge with the most up to date techniques."

Views on Dentistry

"As a hygienist, I enjoy the preventative aspects of dentistry such as routine prophys and sealants. I also like scaling and root planing for patients that need periodontal therapy for periodontal disease. As a hygienist, I appreciate the relationships we make with the patients we see regularly. This really makes my job enjoyable! I feel that we help people by not only providing them with excellent dental care, but by helping them to gain the self confidence that a beautiful smile can give."
Lollie Lenker, R.D.H., Dental Hygienist
Lollie grew up in Blackwell, OK. She fulfilled her undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma and earned her hygiene degree from the Rose State College of Dental Hygiene. She has worked as a full time hygienist as well as temporary fill-in hygienist for many offices in the past and thus has gained a broad base of experience from many office settings.

Views on Dentistry

"I like working in the field of dentistry because of the patients. It is interesting to meet so many different people, all with different needs. It is exciting to see a patient start and finish their dental treatment. It is a rewarding feeling for our dental team and also for the patient. I am especially interested in the periodontal health of the mouth. I think of the gums and bone support as the foundation for the teeth. The most valuable contribution we make to our patients in a dental office is education. By teaching patients about proper care and maintenance it allows them to take charge of their own health."
Angela Stroud, Dental Assistant
Angela (Angie) grew up in the Purcell area. She has been a dental assistant at our office for almost fifteen years. She has been an extremely positive influence for our office during that time with her strong desire to learn and her cheerful disposition.

Views on Dentistry

"I love my job. There's a huge variety of things that I get to do. I enjoy helping our patients and I'm very proud of what we do here. Dentistry is a field in which you continually learn because the technology is always advancing. Many people do not realize how much their mouths affect how they feel. When we can fix a person’s teeth and make them feel better, as well as raise their self esteem, it makes us feel great as well."
