"I became a dentist because I wanted to make a difference in peoples' lives.  That is what I love most about my job.  I enjoy building relationships with my patients and it is very rewarding to feel that I have helped them in some way.  I feel blessed to be in a profession that allows me to relieve patients' pain and give them confidence in their smiles.  I think that it is important to focus on the whole person, rather than just the symptoms he presents.    Partly this entails taking a comprehensive view of a patient's health status, medical history, dental needs, and dental wants.  Equally important, however, is patient education.  Often people are simply unaware of how their daily habits affect their oral health.  Part of our job is to ensure that we educate our patients about proper hygiene and diet.  I think combining these different aspects of patient care allows us to help people in a real and lasting way."
